My close friend Steven Wilson and I embarked on this filmmaking adventure with distinct visions for our set. In a fortunate turn of events, we decided we wanted to do something different than other filmsets. We both then agreed to do a Scavenger Hunt for the cast and crew.
The Scavenger Hunt:
During our first crew meeting, I excitedly unveiled a surprise scavenger hunt, complete with a grand prize of $100 awaiting the clever winner. Maddie, our brilliant Art Director, concealed rolled-up pieces of paper throughout the set, each bearing a single word. The challenge? To discover and piece together these hidden words, revealing a scripture close to our hearts: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him."
Raegan's Triumph:
Fast forward to a Saturday afternoon, and a vibrant 13-year-old background actress named Raegan Mark approached me with eyes brimming with excitement. She had successfully uncovered all the hidden words and assembled the scripture.
Overwhelmed with joy, I called for a cast and crew meeting during lunch, where I proudly announced Ragen as our triumphant winner.
Tears of Joy:
As Lisa Acebo, our first AD, called the meeting, I had the honor of sharing the news, tears of joy welled up in every face present.
